Answer to What is the optimal timing to resign from my current job given my relocation repay agreement?

This is something you will want to address with counsel with the agreement in hand. Without reviewing the relocation agreement itself, no sound advice can be given. Most ought to be able to review this remotely if you can get it to someone by e-mail or fax. Best of luck.

You need to have an attorney look at your non-compete agreement to give you guidance. This is important before you start this new company and reach out to the clients. Best of luck.

Answer to Can I be denied a "day of request" when it is requested for religious purposes?

You have certain rights to religious accommodations, but your question cannot be answered without more facts. It comes down to the gravity of the need and balancing it with the employer's ability to accommodate that need. I recommend you contact a lawyer to discuss this in greater detail before pushing the issue with your employer. My office can assist if you wish. Best of luck.

Answer to Overtime with my employer is only calculated in .25 increments. So If my starting time is 8:30 and I start at 8:16, becasue I came in a little early, I will not be paid for the 14 minutes, as they only pay in 15 minute increments. Overtime is always ok as

Could be that there is an overtime violation, but likely not one that will result in a lot of wages owed. I suspect that you may also benefit from clocking out with 14 minutes to go on the .25 increment. Contact a wage and hour attorney to discuss your claim.

Answer to job titles and duties

The employer is free to pay you any rate of pay it chooses regardless of the work you do, title given you or prior promises made. You, of course, have the right to not accept that pay rate and leave. Hope this helps.

Answer to I am a registered nurse and am ill, my employer is forcing me to come in even though I called in sick because of no coverage. How is that safe when I don't feel good and I work on an acute psyche unit. My job treats us like crap and no one wants to work a

Call in sick is not going to provide you any legal protection if the employer chooses to terminate for your not working. This may be different if you were a member of a union. However, you could have some rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act, but the facts are short as to what was causing the illness. If you want to contact my office to discuss in greater detail, please do.

Thank you.
