Chris McKinney is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization as specialists in labor and employment law. Becoming board certified requires years of experience practicing employment law as well as passing the rigorous board certification exam. Less than one percent of Texas attorneys are board certified as specialists in labor and employment law.
Chris McKinney is a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. He has handled hundreds of employment law cases throughout the state in his nearly 25 years of practice and has tried cases in both state and federal courts in cities all over Texas, including Austin, Houston, El Paso, McAllen Tyler, and San Antonio. Chris has been a strong advocate for employees in Austin, Texas for more than 20 years. He regularly represents employees in cases involving sexual harassment, age discrimination, sex discrimination, race discrimination, FMLA retaliation, and whistleblower matters.
In addition to representing clients in court, Chris McKinney is a member of the board of directors of the Texas Employment Lawyers Association and has been asked to testify to the Texas Legislature on employment law issues.
