I was recently given a written warning that my productivity at a Texas Pawnshop is not up to par...Management stated that they thought one of the reasons for my so called drop in my work performance was that fact that I am Diebetic...I feel that is discrimination against my disability...Your thoughts on this?

Diabetes Making a Difference in How Management Thinks?

Merely being given a written warning is not enough to rise to the level of a claim. But, if you think this is the first step in an effort to put together a file to "justify" firing you later -- and if the decision to fire you is because you have diabetes -- you should seek legal advice now before things go too long. There are several great lawyers who represent employees in San Antonio, including Malinda Gaul, Thad Harkins, Michael Putman, and Tom Crane. You may need only a one-hour consultation with one of these folks to understand your rights and plan for the future. It's worth the consultation. Good luck.
