Can a company keep me from coming back to work
I had spinal surgery in November of 2016. I filled out FMLA papers a year ago due to spinal issues. The doctor released me to go back to work 4 hours a day for the first two weeks then I can transition to 8 hours a day. I was told that there was a person in the office that is on light duty from an injury at work and that the owner of the company does not want to people working in the office at the same time. I am base supervisor for this private EMS company. I was told that I could come back eight hours a day for 2 days because the other person is in the office for 8 hours a day for 3 days. I am the supervisor on salary can they keep me from coming back to work.
