Can you get fired becouse you were threatend by another employee?

I worked at a medical office and was threatend by another employee. I made my emplyer aware and they told me she was not capable of hurting me. A few months later she threatend me again and told me she was going to go after me. Again i told my employer and told them i was going to call the police. I was sent home about 15 minutes later. The next day i was fired and the other emplyee was to.
