Discrimination

I have currently a Account Manager/Area Manager with a security company. This industries has been male dominated for many years partially due to the fact that we hire many ex-military personel.
I WAS supervising 3 sites. All with older male site managers which reported directly to me. I have one site manager that was consistantly making racist, disrimintory statements about women and minorities. In fact we got into a big dispute over him wanted to fire a vietnamies lady with out proper documentation. To make this very long situation shorter he ask to me moved from my reporting structure and was. I feel because I am woman and did not agree with his discrinitory behavior I now have less responsbility and less reason for my company to need my services in this part of the country.
Please let me know what you think.

It is difficult to provide a substantive answer to your question, without meeting with you. In general, it appears you may have been the victim of unlawful retaliation by your employer... in connection with your attempts to deal with the bias of your manager. Feel free to contact my Lenexa, Kansas office for a no-charge office consultation. 438-2760.
