Do my unemployment benefits freeze during an employer appeal of benefits.
My employer says I violated company policy because another employee shredded personal papers on the day she was terminated while I was retrieving personal property for her. I was unaware of this action but am being held responsible anyway

Also, if on appeal, it is ultimately found that you were not eligible for benefits, you may be responsible for paying back those that you received.
