How can I stop my previous emplyer from changing the reasons I was terminated ?

I worked for a Gov't contractor and was terminated after 11 busniess days, the claim was I showed a pronographic photo to a coworker on my iphone, and I had a negitive attitude, and touch a contractors personal PC.

I applied for another job with a different company, and now the Background investagtion is stating that there are other items such as I have mental limitations, and the photo was not pronographic, just two people in a 'sexual position'. Also several other items, like I was told not to do several things and I had a pesamistic attitude. I have been 'declined' for a security clearance due to these differences. The unemployment office has my story which is different from the govt.

The photo was not pronogaphic or sexually positioned, the permission to touch the other persons personal PC was given, then retracted. and the negitive attitude was due to violations of a federal laws, and my insistance to have it corrected was deemed 'negitive attitude'.
All other items like my mental limitiations and various other items I have no clue about until i read the report from the Background investagtors. I have no mental issue, nor have I been diagnoised with anything.

Can I force the previous company to stop slandering my name and creating false statements ?

thanks,

steve h.

It's not uncommon for defamation or slander cases for bad or untrue references to be resolved with neutral references being one of the settlement terms.
