I am working with an international organization for more than 3 years(Close to 3 years 6 months) where 2 years and 5 months were in India and rest is in Mexico. Now our team has been laid off and we are asked to leave. I got to know that severance pay will be 6 months of salary + 20 days salary for each year you work for the company. Now I wanted to understand :- 1- Is it 3 months or 6 months, if you are working with an organization more than 3 years? 2- Will each year be counted as a whole or only for my employment in current country? 3- If I get an offer from another organizattion and I accept it, will I still be eligible for the severance pay? Please help me understand it.
