Is this justifiable?
I called in on my day off, was told by boss that we should be filling out the check for EVERY (loan) customer reminded her that she has worked in that store and was aware that we do not fill out the check for everyone unless they ask. She told me she would be at the store on Friay to discuss some other things, I worked the following day and on Friday when I went in I was handed a letter stating I was suspended without pay for 2 days and had a meeting at our corp. office on Monay before returning to work. Letter said to appeal contact (xxxx) I did that only to be told "we'll talk on Monday". When I got to the meeting I was told I was being demoted to a csr and my pay would be cut to hourly and I was being transferred to a store 30 minutes away. I asked for 24 hours to think it through and concluded with my transportation would not allow me to such a committment, I asked if I was being fired, was told no, you were offered a position so you quit. I did get approved for my unemployment but is this constructive discharge?
