Non compete HELP

I was hired by a company with whom I had to sign a non compete. They only let me see the page where the signature goes and said if I wanted to work there I had to sign it. I was recently terminated for "business" reasons and now can't get work in this industry because of the non compete. The non compete is for 2 years. Can they do this. I've had 2 job offers but they back away as soon as they read the non compete because it could be costly to defend even though they feel we would win. Please help.

non-compete

Since non-competes are not favored in Indiana, if the Court believs that you were not allowed to see the non-compete when you signed it, you could get an order voiding it. You might have some other defenses too to bring action to void it. Of course, litigation to void it is costly. Perhaps a letter would be sufficient.
