Not wanting Direct Deposit

My company is wanting me to take direct deposit instead of a check.
I do NOT want Direct Deposit.
When I was hired I was told that they encourage all salaried personnel to do the direct deposit.
I was told that eventually they will force me to, or else.
I was not told whatthe or else is.
I know the easiest thing would be to do direct deposit...but I dont want it.
Can they force me too?

At will employment

Yes. There is no prohibition against employers requiring direct deposit, so they can force you to accept it as a condition of your employment.
