Docked half day's pay for going home early due to MSG poisoning from catered food at work.

I am allergic to MSG and will suffer migraine attacks. The caterers normally accommodate people with allergies and those ingredients are posted by the food. There was no posting of MSG as an ingredient that day. The caterer was new and the restaurant was new. I am a contractor for the company. I am a salaried employee for the agency that has a contract with said client. The client says they are not responsible, that they are not my employer, and the agency says they cannot charge the client for that time so that i must take the half day without pay. Is this legal??

No, it is not legal. An employer may not dock the pay of a salaried employee for a partial day absence.
