Unpaid Wages
I am a Computer Developer.
I worked for a (contracting company) “employee leasing” company here in Atlanta for a total of 10 months.
For the last three months of this assignment, the “recipient company” required that we work 40 - 60 hours overtime. Yes!, for over 12 weeks, I was putting in 80 plus hours a week.
I had never been so exhausted in my life.
I was required to submit 4 different timecards a week
(3 places at the “recipient company” and one place at the “employee leasing” company).
During these 3 months, my paychecks never reflected my total hours worked,
because I was told that all 4 timecard sources were never in sync.
I submitted my time for 80+ hours every week religiously, but my paycheck for most of these weeks were less than (sometimes much less than) if I had worked a regular 40 hour week.
For four months I have been going back and forth and back and forth with the “employee leasing” company trying to get the back pay that was due me.
I have the “recipient company’s” (intranet) documentation of the total hours I worked during this three month period. Compared to the “recipient company’s” documentation, it shows a deficiency of 113.75 Hours that the a “employee leasing” company owes me in backpay.
My assignment ended over a month ago and still I am getting the run around about receiving
my back pay. The “employee leasing” company haven't even paid me the two weeks pay that was initially held back.
Could you give me some guidance?
With Profound Respect
