Verizon violates it's own Policy

I was suspended from Verizon for 30 days after the last strick. Verizon suspended me for coed of coduct violations. In short my wife was very ill and I did not tell her of my suspension instead choosing to not upset her while she was ill. A Verizon manager was sent to my home and told my wife that I was due back from the suspension and on what date. This caused my wife to relaps and be hospitialized from the strees, this manager violated the company's rule of not giving information out to non company employees. Would thier be a case against Verizon ?

Company Policies Mean Nothing

You have no case. It is the rare case in which you can use a company's policy as a basis of a claim against the company. In New York State, the state of the law is such that I am often of the mind to say that an employer can lie in its policies and not be held liable for the lie.
