depends

you don't have any free-standing right to sick leave. if the company does not allow you sick leave, there is no law that says they have to. however, if you have an ongoing medical problem, which requires periodic appointments for treatment, testing or evaluation, you may be entitled to fmla/cfra intermittent leave. also, if you are exempt, you may not be docked pay if you are absent from work for only an hour or two for a medical appointment.
you need to have your situation reviewed by an attorney experienced in employment law. or, you may be able to get advice from the dept. of labor standards enforcement or the dept. of fair employment & housing.
if you are in southern california, call me for a consultation.
