overtime

The big question here will be whether your employer is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act, the law which generally requires you to be paid 1 1/2 times your regular wages for hours over 40 per week. The immediate concern I have is whether a courier service will be regarded as a "motor carrier." I would suggest that you call the USDept of Labor and ask them whether they can help you. If they are not able to help, find out if it is because of your employer's status as a motor carrier.

Get back in touch if the problem is not resolved.
