Answer to Non-compete agreement re: inability to "bid"
non-competeI would need to see the agreement. It may have a provision which states which state's law will be applied. Further, if he is going to be working only in California, he probably has a better chance of beating it. If he is going to be competing nation-wide, one probably has to look at the law of each state.

Answer to Forced to leave because of a hostile environment - do I have cause for a suit?
It depends on why the environment was hostile.It depends on why the environment was hostile. Was the other person doing things to you because of sex, race, sexual orientation, etc.?
