I was recently suspended without pay due to a safety infraction of one of the people reporting to me (I’m a production supervisor in Illinois). I was told the corporate office has to review. If I win the appeal, I was told I would get back pay. It has almost been 5 weeks. If I win the appeal, I don’t plan on going back to work with them (I have since gotten another job). By law, do they still have to give me back pay if I tell them I quit?
