asked to waive benefit in order to get severance pay
a 45 yr. old woman is being laid off. She has 23 yrs. with large retail company. Employee handbook says, after 20 yrs, employee receives lifetime discount. She is asked to sign a waiver rescinding discount in return for severance package. Is this legal?
