i had to quit due to being replaced and offered lower paying position

I quit a job of 6 years after employer "reorganized" and made all staff reapply for positions they previously held. I did not qualify for my position after reorganization due to educational requirements. I was offered another position at lower pay, possible travel and different locations. I had a perfect work record. I applied for my position and was told I did not qualify for it and I needed to apply for another position. I told my supervisor I did not want another position but was asked if I would train my replacement.I felt like I was being forced to accept another position. Is this considered "constructive discharge"?
Thanks
