Is it legal to not pay hourly wages due to one mistake

Is this legal to not pay my hourly wage due to an error on a UPS envelope. I am a part time employee and was told I had to come in on my scheduled day off to deliver documents, which I had to drive over 70 miles only to be told that since I made the mistake that I would not be paid the 2 hours

If you worked the time the employer must pay you for the time.
