Do I have a case?
I resigned my position as Supervisor because the company I worked for would not back me up. They promoted a woman with less experience in the job after asking several others if they would take the position and being turned down. They paid the woman about forty percent more than me. (hourly rate)

Its hard to answer your question without more info. The title of your thread is "Equal Pay Act" ... do you believe that your former employer is paying you less than women performing the same job because of your gender? Also, what do you mean that the company would not "back you up"?
