Is this retaliation and what damages should i seek?
I was employed with a company and felt that I was being bullied and discriminated against by upper mgnt. I went through proper channels and filed a complaint with HR. I eventually was fired and offered a severance pkg. which I refused. I filed a complaint with the EEOC and they brought 6 charges against the company and we settled in mediation for a sizeable sum of money. Afterwards the company also fired the HR person who was named throughout the charges. I have recently applied for the same type of job with a different company. I did not know that the HR person now works for the new company. I applied for 5 different positions in one day and within an hour, recieved five letters refusing to consider me for employment and signed by the HR person named in the previous EEOC charges against the previous employer. I feel she is retaliating and blocking me from any chance of employment. I am very qualified for all of the positions but have no chance for an opportunity because she is the Lead Recruiter for HR for this company. I went back to the EEOC and they have filed more charges. Do i have a legitimate claim and what damages should I seek?
