CAN I COLLECT MONEY FOR ACCRUED SICK TIME AFTER GETTING FIRED?

it depends. first, you need to know if your sick leave is part of a qualified benefit plan. second, you need to knwo if your employee handbook gives you any rights to collect it. third, it depends on whether the "sick leave" is really some form of combined leave, in which case in california, you may be able to collect. you should contact the california dept. of labor standards enforcement (in the state pages of your phone book) or contact an attorney experienced in employment law.
