Must we pay a one-day employee who we terminated for no-call/no-show?
Our new salaried employee reported for work the first day and never returned. We called and left messages for him. No Response. We emailed him. No response. We then notified him that his employment was terminated at the end of first work day. Question: do we have to pay him for one day? Thanks!
