equal pay for equal but more work
I am security guard 3rd shift for ywca homeless shelter.. Recent admin change now pays 10-12 for all shifts. I was hired as a lone security guard for 3rd shift @ 9 dollars an hr. New hires are paid more -nigerian immigrant, shot overweight black woman with bad back and breathing problems, black college grad,(i am college grad also) and so on. I am a white 60 yr old veteran, told "no sleeping on 3rd... therefore "witness" everyone "napping" even the 12 dollar new hire sleeping because of double shift excuses... i can be video taped doing "expected assignments" w/out "whining"...why can the Ywca not respond to "raise" from 9 dollars from the institution putting security for family service peeps? Why can they not respond to just pay me what the new hires are paid...i am a heterosexual working for checked boxes affirmative actions by affirmative action executives...
